During the month of May, the project for the migration of fuel to LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) in our Cikautxo India plant and diesel to natural gas in the Cikautxo Mexico and Cikautxo China plants was concluded. In this way, the transition from a low-efficiency fuel with a high environmental impact to one of greater efficiency and less environmental impact is achieved in the plant’s steam production process.
This project is aligned with the Cikautxo Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the Carbon Neutrality objectives established for the year 2050 by the United Nations through the Paris Agreement, reducing said carbon footprint in its aforementioned subsidiaries.
